All our hire car seats are selected based on a very high minimum standard of safety and ease of use. Our car seats are maintained to a very high standard with regular cleaning, safety audits and maintenance (per manufacturer recommendations) carried out as required.

Suitability

Our forward facing harnessed (Type G) car seat range is suitable from approximately 2 years of age, provided the child’s shoulder reaches the lower (entry) height marker. Our forward facing car seats are suitable up to approximately 8 to 10 years of age (or until the child’s shoulders reach the upper ‘stop use’ marker).

You get peace of mind that installation is completed by an accredited fitter.

If you are flying into Brisbane Airport or Gold Coast Airport and plan to hire a car, we invite you to take advantage of our popular Airport Concierge Service, enabling you to have a hired car seat installed into your rental car prior to your arrival. We can also arrange to leave your hired pram, portacot, highchair (and more) in the boot of the car as part of this service.

Forward facing harnessed car seats are suitable for children of varying ages that fall within the height requirements. Ideally suited to fitting three car seats across, hatchbacks and compact SUV’s and more; the forward facing harnessed hire car seat range will suit almost all situations.

Yes! Delivery is available to your pre-booked rental car at Brisbane airport or Gold Coast airport. We’ll even install your hired car seat for you if the car rental company have your hire car ready.

*Child Safety Solutions will not hire this restraint to any child under the age of 2 years unless they have outgrown all 0-4 child car seats. Please consider choosing one of our convertible car seat options.

If your child is under 4 years old consider hiring a convertible car seat, premium compact hire car seat or convertible car seat – extended rearward facing. All these options offer forward facing with a harness, up to a large four year old or 42cm seated shoulder height (measuring floor to shoulder when seated).
